View of the Elbow River from Above Sandy Beach lesson

I did this painting in a class. The new techniques, brushes and methods were a real brain bender however in the end I kind of like the feel of the painting. When I was all finished I realized that I had placed my focal point in the dead centre which of course was the first thing we were told never to do - I will try again and get the river into the right place - I'll also look up for some sky too!
